Gotta Get Back!!!

I’ve moved, I’ve been sick, I’ve been on vacation, I’ve been…  the list is endless.  I’ve basically not been working out on a regular basis.  The times that I have worked out since I last tracked a work out, have been so sporadic that I didn’t bother with tracking.  However, I’m serious again and I think tracking helps, it gives me something to report to (other than my jeans).

So here we go.  November is my new beginning.  I went to the pool and swam last night.  I had to stop and breath every 50 yards…  My arms hurt so bad when I got home I could barely wash my hair.  Oh how quickly we fall apart…   But you have to start sometime and so start I did.

Run - 0.8 hours - 05/16/2010

We participated in the Beat the Bridge 8k run on Sunday. It was a ton of fun.  We didn’t beat the bridge although we ran at a good 9 minute mile pace, which is faster than our normal pace.  This was because we were way back in the lineup.  We were robbed!  We would have made it if we were toward the front of the group.  But hey, it was fun!  I felt the urge to pee just before the race began.  I understand why runners pee themselves.  You really don’t want to stop running and you really have to go!  It’s awful.  So, back to not beating the bridge, I was sort of relieved that I could take a minute to pee.  The bridge was up for about 7 minutes so that was my chance.  Also, my time reflects the 7 minute subtraction.  Otherwise my pace was way over 10 minute miles.
